AgraCity has partnered with Genesis Fertilizer which has begun construction of its first high throughput fertilizer distribution center. This project is being done with the investment and partnership of over 2,000 farmers across Western Canada. The facility at Belle Plaine is the first of 7 planned high throughput fertilizer buildings that will be built across Western Canada.

We are looking for Fertilizer Sales Specialists to support the Belle Plain business. This role will be focused on providing the best fertility knowledge and experience in the business. We are looking for individuals who want to ensure that their customers are provided with the products and knowledge to make their farm as successful as possible. This individual needs to be passionate about new innovations in fertility and fertilizer and passing the value of these products to their customers. This individual will also focus on AgraCity’s new proprietary line of foliar fertility products.

Principal Accountabilities 

  • Working with customers to meet all their fertilizer and fertility needs on their farm.
  • Achieving sales targets of all product lines through active account maintenance.
  • Create and maintain a rigorous weekly call plan designed to meet sales objectives and customer interaction frequency targets.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding and business plan with all customers within your assigned geography.
  • Continuously increasing knowledge of Agriculture, Agronomy and AgraCity’s products.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Related post-secondary education in the agriculture industry would be preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years previous sales experience.
  • Previous agriculture industry experience would be considered an asset.
  • A strong understanding of Canada’s agriculture industry would be considered an asset.
  • Previous sales training.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships.
  • Persistence and highly developed selling skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills as well as listening skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management and planning skills.
  • Self-motivated individual with a strong drive to achieve results.
  • Possess a Canadian Driver’s License and be legally entitled to work in Canada.
