What is your job title?

Sale Representative for Agracity.

What do you do with AgraCity?

My job with AgraCity includes diversity of chemical sales, customer service in the territory as well as handling any performance concerns on any of our products.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Raymore, Saskatchewan. My family operated a mixed farm.

Where do you live?

I’ve lived in Calgary for the past 17 years. 

What is the territory that you cover?

The territory that I presently cover is Southern Alberta and parts of Central Alberta.

What do you like about working with AgraCity?

AgraCity is a forward-thinking company which creates opportunity to grow and diversify. Coming from a background in agriculture the one thing that was intriguing for myself was to work my existing customers and introduce them to our many products at a fraction of their current cost . Although the cost of agriculture continues to rise, AgraCity has defined innovative ways to produce crop inputs at a fraction of the price. This presents a unique opportunity to sell, and to be motivated to introduce products to the farming community. Although I have only been with AgraCity for a short period of time I continue to see the potential to sell.

What do you think is the biggest challenge facing farmers in western Canada today?

Agriculture is a difficult business overall. With the rising cost of farm equipment, the unpredictability of weather, the competition to produce quality commodities, the diversification in technology and the specialization required to produce quality crops, makes farming a stress producing occupation.

What hobbies do you have when you are not working?

I have many interests. Playing hockey and coaching my son in hockey has been the most gratifying. When I am not in the rink or watching hockey, I enjoy the summer months at the lake, watching my son wake board. I also enjoy surfing and being out on the water.
